The challenge in building a beamless lift is lifting the boat where there is no beam. There are several ways of doing this: Placing a motor on each piling, a full time underwater leveling cable, a leveling cable that is wrapped on top of itself, and travels throught the moving cradle.

At Synergy we run the leveling cable front to rear, through the stationary member at dock height. This is the only system currently in use that truly works.
